Origami For Life travelled from KANAL Centre Pompidou to the Cathedral of St Michael & St Gudula ! And is now on-view at the Galeries Royales St Hubert.
To complement the Origami For Life in the Galeries Royales Saint Hubert, we created Golden-Tree, a 40m long contemporary Christmas tree made out of 20.000 golden origamis. The golden origamis are hung with 20.000 meters of yellow wire. 🎄
An origami trail that will amaze many has been set up for the Christmas season. You can stroll through the town centre, passing by the sacred island, the Grand Place until you reach the courtyard of the town hall and even the hotel next door.

Origami For Life:
Origami For Life is an initiative of the artist Charles Kaisin which aims at raising funds for Hospital Erasme in Belgium by creating an Origami art installation. In these times of crisis, together we can help fund a COVID-19 special care unit. Together we can show our solidarity with the medical corps by building an Origami installation in their honor.
More than €100,000 was raised, fund a COVID-19 special care unit for Hospital Erasme. Together we build a 30,000 Origamis installation. Origami For Life travelled from KANAL centre pompidou to the Cathedral of St Michael & St Gudula ! And is now on-view at the Galeries Royales St Hubert.
St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral
OrigamiForLife has become a symbol of a united Belgium during the COVID-19. The origamis installation has been displayed for Belgian National Day on July 21st to August 31st at St Michael and St Gudula Cathedral in Brussels. It was quite magical to walk under the 20325 origami which are suspended at 8.5 meters in the air
