POP-UP STORE Bruxelles 2020

A big first for the designer who opens his pop-up store total look studio in rolls of toilet paper. 18,000 rolls of paper to cover the entire wall in only a few days, a record time. The rolls are braided together using more than 5,000 m of rope. Following the sanitary crisis, the designer decided to use toilet paper as a symbolic element in reference to the fear of a shortage of this product for many of the Belgian homes. The rolls of toilet paper were donated by Carrefour Belgium at the beginning of the deconfinement. These will be redistributed to associations once the pop-up closes down its doors. This period of confinement allowed us to prepare for the opening of the boutique and to let creativity take precedence over fear.

The shop was set up in the creative studio. Recto Verso, folded books, hairy chairs,...a limited collection of his design objects in a surprising universe. This is the first time that a large number of the design objects designed by Charles Kaisin are gathered in one place.
